                                          ABC Story

A dream I had last night was amazing.
Big bright colors and more.
Colors took form into shapes and became magical.
Darkness wasn't even present because the magical colors illuminated the sky.
Everything there made me breathless.
Fish in the water would surface and say hello.
Grass in the plains would sway with the wind.
Hunger, there was none. The fresh fruit on the trees and the nuts were plenty.
I was fully after eating so much. The food here is delicious.
Jada I heard someone call.
Kindness was something everyone here showed me. I heard me name again.
Loren I said. Long time, she ran as fast as she could and hugged me.
My goodness I've been looking for you, she said. I have something to tell you.
Nana said come back to the cottage for supper.
Ok i said and we both headed back.
Pasta I said I smell pasta.
Quickly Loren said yup. I helped cook.
Really? I said.
Some how every time Loren and Nana cook together the meals are amazing.
Time to eat Nana said. Are you both hungry?
Um... are we hungry? of course we are? I'm starving
Very good We cooked a lot of food so eat up Nana said. Thank Nana I said.
Welcome she replied. Then a man walked through the door with a shovel.
Xenophobia, I have Xenophobia. I yelled and screamed. Hey! the man said calm down its me Tom.
You look so different I said. Well, you haven't been here in years, you didn't recognize me said Tom. Tom handed Nana a bag, she opened it and look inside.

Time travel

                                            Time Travel 

            I close the door behind me, then slowly turn the dial to Dec 22, 2030, and pull the lever down. I stand there for a few seconds and nothing happens. It must be a mistake, I thought to myself my calculations were right. I try it again turn the dial to Dec 22, 2030, and pull the lever down, but still nothing. I step outside the machine and examine it, oh! its not plugged in. There its pulled in, now its time to go. I step back inside and reset the dial and pull the lever.
            Finally, the lights go dim and then a massive force makes me stumble a bit. I look over at the calendar, it was flashing Dec 22, 2030. Yes! I did it after all this time I've finally time traveled. I stepped out of the time machine into 2030. It was exciting, there were so many new things. The only thing 2030 didn't have was flying cars, but maybe it's for the best. I looked around to see if anyone might be watching me. I was all clear, I pushed the shrink button and the time machine folded into a necklace, I picked it up and put it around my neck. All the lights and colors were amazing, the future really like glowing neon type things. I looked up to see a sign, Square drive.
            Great! at least the streets didn't change. I walked into the mall, and looked for an outfit to wear. If I was going to be in the future I need to dress like I was from here. @21 I said, Why not? I walked inside and a voice said may I help you? I turned around to see a robot. May I help you the robot said again. Um, No I'm fine. If you need any help press one of the assistance buttons posted around the store, Have a nice day. Um thanks I said. Wow! things have really changed. I walked over to a sign that said clothing try on. I opened a door and there was a mirror and a computer. What would you like to try on?
            I looked around the room, Um.... who's there I said. What would you like to try on? Oh it's the computer. Um..... anything I guess. I looked in the mirror and suddenly I had on jeans and a flashing sweater. It was amazing, finally I could shop without having to keep putting on and taking off clothes. The future is amazing.

Funnel Cakes! YUM! Recipe

Funnel Cake 

Total Time: 20 min
Prep: 10 min
Cook: 10 min
Yield:
6 to 8 servings, depending upon size of cakes 

Ingredients
2 cups milk
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) melted butter
Powdered sugar, for topping

Directions

Combine milk, egg, vanilla in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and sugar and gradually add to wet ingredients. Beat with a mixer until a smooth batter forms. Fold in melted butter. Pour batter into a funnel or squeeze bottle while using your index finger to stop the flow of the batter. Bring the funnel over the hot oil and release your finger to start a stream of batter while moving the funnel in a circular motion to create spiral-like shapes. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and slightly puffed. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. (can also add chocolate syrup, whip cream, or ice cream)
             My experience: The first time  I ever had funnel cake was when I made them at home. I would always see people eating funnel cakes and carnivals or festivals but I never really wanted to try any. Well until I was bored and wanted something to cook. So i looked up how to make funnel cake and headed straight to the kitchen. To be honest they were great! the kitchen got a little messy but at least I had my funnel cake.                                         

Recipe for Tres leches cake! (3 milk) Really good!

Tres Leches: Three Milk Cake
 

Total Time: 20 min
Prep: 20 min
Yield: 10 to 12 servings  

 Ingredients

1 yellow cake mix baked as directed in 13 by 9-inch pan
For topping mixture:
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 pint heavy whipping cream
  To finish:
Whipped cream, to cover cake
top with cherries (optional) 

Directions

Bake cake as direction on box require. Let cool.

Poke holes in the cake with a fork all over. Pour topping mixture over cake. Let mixture absorb completely in refrigerator. Let sit for 2 hours or over night.

Cover with whipped cream or cool whip.

OPTIONAL: Add macadamia nuts, cherries and/or pineapple.

My experience: I mad tres leches cake for my Spanish class sophomore year. I wanted to make something no one else would make so i decided to look up desserts and found tres leches cake. Tres leches means three milk cake. I went to the store and brought a box of yellow cake and the three milks and started to cook. The next day I brought the cake to class and everyone seemed to be interested and wanted to try it. Except for the few who didn't like milk or were lactose and tolerant. I thought the presentation and the cake went well, afterwards I had a little bit of cake left over and ate that for lunch.

The clouds! (read my short story!) please :)

      She gasped with excitement and shouted over the noise of the propeller: "The islands in the clouds are real! She screamed over the loud airplane, I replied of course they are. Her name was Amber she was a girl who was full of adventure. She loved trying new things and facing danger, I think that's why I loved her.
       I could see the amazement in her eyes and it made me even more excited to bring her to the islands in the clouds. What is the islands in the clouds? you might ask. The islands in the clouds are well! long story short are islands. They have been searched for for years. Only a few people can come to these islands because they re difficult to find and they're are hidden dangerous.
      Eric... Eric. Yes. When will we land? In about two minutes I replied. I was finally given the signal to land and started to lower the plane. Everything was clear and ready to go, I saw our landing stop and proceeded.      Finally the plane was landed, Amber got her things and got out of the plane. Lets go she said. Hold on I need to get my things. I grabbed my three bags and we started to walk to the main gate of the airport. She grabbed my hand and dragged me along. Finally she said, I've made it to the island of clouds. We placed our bags in a bin and a tall lady with short blond hair checked them. Clear! she said now go to screening. I grabbed the bags and looked for the screening. Amber grabbed my hang and kiss me on the cheek, thank you for this she said. My cheeks started to blush and I though to myself should I tell her? I started to open my mouth I... I... I... um.... Amber I love. Ring... Ring..... The ringing on my alarm clock made me rise from my bed. Ugh it was a dream. I rubbed my eyes and got out of bed. I guess to only time Ill ever confess my love is in a dream.
